Channel your inner Rachel Green because our favorite 90’s trends are back in a big way this winter, including the oh-so-cozy chenille sweater. Chenille has a spotted history of being on trend, but in my opinion, this soft and comfy fabric should always be on your winter-wear list. The word chenille, in fact, is french for fuzzy caterpillar, and who doesn’t want to wear a fuzzy caterpillar as you weather the cold temps and chill that winter brings?
Just because chenille is the ultimate cozy fabric, doesn’t mean you can’t pull it together for a polished look. My chenille sweater has quickly become a favorite in my winter wardrobe. I paired a simple black chenille sweater with a structured gray coat and black over-the-knee boots for a classic look. When it comes to a fabric that has a trendy reputation, I recommend going with a solid color like black, gray, red (so festive for the holidays!) or blush. Below, you can find some of my favorite chenille sweaters to shop. I’ve also linked all of my outfit details at the bottom of this post.
