I don’t know about you, but I feel that decorating a home is always a fluent, never-ending process. I’m constantly changing out pieces, adding to my home decor repertoire and curating our house to feel even more cozy than ever before. Home is more than just a place, it’s a feeling. It’s a feeling of comfort, relaxation, family and oh-so many more things. To me, there’s one brand that really encapsulates all of those feelings of home into their hand-crafted pieces, and that’s Dwell 605.
Dwell 605 is a local brand with Amanda Block’s design and creative talent behind it. She launched Dwell 605 in 2015, and is truly the most genuine person who wants to spread happiness and positivity into people’s homes through her handmade wood signs. Her personality shines through on her Instagram, where you can follow along with her latest home design projects and farmhouse style. It’s truly been a pleasure working with her, and I couldn’t wait to style one of her signs in my very own home.
“It’s So Good to Be Home”
Every time I walk into my front door, whether I’ve been gone a week on a work trip or I’m just returning from running a quick errand, I love the feeling of coming home. I couldn’t agree more with this quote, and I wanted to make sure this was the first thing I see when I walk into my house. We have a split foyer home, so I chose to hang it on the wall directly across from the front door so it instantly greets anyone who walks through the door. The only issue with this placement is that it was actually very hard to find a good angle to photograph for this post! (First world problems, people.)
Every day I come home, I glance at the sign and instantly smile. It’s a reminder of how blessed I am to share my home with my wonderful husband and the most cuddly dog a person could ask for. And for me, that’s truly what home design is all about.
