I’ve always been a huge fan of heels, and because of my short little legs, my motto has always been the higher the better. Heels are even making their comeback from the sneaker trend that has dominated the runways and fashion trends for the last few seasons (short girls rejoice!) However, lately I’ve found myself favoring their more comfortable cousin… the wedge. Perfect when you need a boost (literally), and perfect when your Saturday night plans don’t involve sitting (because your toes are in pain) all night long. Plus, nothing looks more effortless than a cute pair of wedges in the spring and summer.
Stuart Weitzman has an incredible line up of wedges, and if you’re not familiar with the brand I would really encourage you to check him out. Fair warning: shoe lust WILL incur. I’m constantly drooling over his latest collections, and when your spring ad campaign stars Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls and Lily Aldridge, you know you’re talking about some serious shoes.
Unfortunately for us shoe lovers, Stuart Weitzman can also come at a serious price point. (Think slightly less than Jimmy Choo’s, but definitely more than Dolce Vita.) I’ve always been an advocate for purchasing high-quality staples, and an incredible pair of wedges is no exception. The good news is that Stuart Weitzman does occasionally go on sale on sites like Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th and Gilt. I personally purchased the wedges featured in this post on sale from Gilt. They may not be from the most current season, but the quality of the Stuart Weitzman Crossover Wedge Sandal is still exceptional. (There’s actually still a few colors and sizes available.) Over the years I’ve purchased a number of cheap, black wedges, and none of them have lasted beyond a few wears and they’ve still killed my feet. My Stuart Weitzman wedges are beyond comfortable, and I actually look forward to wearing them.
