After seeing more than one article on how to repurpose your swimsuit for streetwear, I have to admit I was a little hesitant to completely embrace this style. However, it’s really hard to argue with the reasoning that swimwear can be a significant investment, and when you find a piece you love, you want to show it off at more than just the beach. (Am I right?)
And because I can justify almost anything in the name of fashion, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give this look a try. Kudos to those who may be more adventurous than me, but I believe the key to pulling off swim style as street style is pairing your swimwear with existing summer classics like a sundress or romper. I’ve had this incredible sheer romper from Reformation hanging in my closet for months that I’ve been struggling to wear. It’s a little to risqué for me on it’s own, but my structured swim top from Old Navy pulled it all together.
Unfortunately, I purchased both my romper and my swim top awhile ago, so they are no longer available. But I have pulled some gorgeous alternatives for you all to try below.
