Those of us who travel work know it’s not always as glamorous as it may seem. Yes, you get to visit some really cool places and meet new, inspiring people every trip. (Which I love!) But many times, you’re lucky if you get to see anything outside of a hotel meeting room, and I’m sure many of us have found ourselves in at least one of the following situations, if not all of them. Join me in raising your figurative hand if you’ve:
- Literally schlepped miles across large conference centers and trade shows for days at a time.
- Frantically ran through the airport in your pencil skirt in a last ditch effort to catch a flight during a tight connection.
- Spent hours+ on your feet jumping from hotel meeting room to meeting room to a reception to dinner to after-dinner drinks.
ALL while trying to look professional and polished throughout it all. What’s the key? After almost a decade of traveling for work, I can tell you it’s all about the SHOES.
One of my favorite brands when it comes to shoes for work travel, and really any travel, is SAS Shoes. (You may recognize them because I’ve featured them in a previous post on The Best Walking Shoes for Traveling in Europe.) Especially considering the versatility of a typical day in the life as a business traveler, SAS Shoes offers style AND comfort when it comes to being on your feet for hours at a time.
One of my favorite SAS styles for work travel is the Luxe Slip On Loafer. Polished to perfection, they can confidently carry you through any situation you may encounter on your work travels. Handcrafted in Italy, you can’t beat the comfort and thought that has gone into crafting this loafer, and they’re definitely a go-to when I’m packing and traveling for meetings across the country. I will share that the more you wear these shoes, the more comfortable they become, and I highly recommend spending some time breaking them in prior to your travels.
